WordPress is the most popular content management system. Out of every 10 websites, 4 of them are built with WordPress. From government agencies, non profit agencies, to schools and ecommerce platforms, the choice of building with WordPress keeps growing. In a recent article, we shared just 10 of Uganda’s popular brands that have their websites built with WordPress. On the list, we had State House, Uganda Revenue Authority, MTN Uganda and 7 others.
In the education sector, schools like Trinity College Nabbingo , Kyambogo College School and Jinja College School were built using WordPress, just like that of our own E-zone School of Computing. In the tertiary education sector, we shall give examples of Kyambogo University and Makerere University at 100 websites which are built with WordPress.
As the new competency based curriculum comes to its maiden year of UNEB assessment, teachers of ICT should remember that web design is one of the topics to be taught in S.4. The topic requires solid understanding of how websites as we prepare to intriduce it to a very inquisitive class. So, for this and more reasons, we came up with a 30-day WordPress bootcamp where participants will be taken through every step of coming up with a clean, beautiful, secure and fully responsive website.
The first cohort of our 2024 WordPress bootcamp will be held from 1st February 2024 to 1st March 2024. The fully online training will involve receiving a short instructional video (Approx. 5 minute) every day for the 30 days, you will then follow all the steps in the video and follow instructions to come up with the sae page. By the end of the 30 days, you will have a fully fucntional school website.
