1000 WordPress Ninjas

About This Project

This project aims at introducing WordPress to 1000 learners from Primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions and out of school teens and youth in Uganda.

We believe that equipping learners with digital skills is key in preparing them for the world of work. With the fast evolving trends and as online platforms become a part a part of our daily lives, we purpose to build an army of experts that is ready to lead the shift in this part of the world.

Why teach WordPress

Teaching WordPress to students in Uganda is an essential step toward empowering the next generation with the skills necessary for thriving in a digital world. Our sessions equip students with practical skills in website design, a skill that can help them easily get entry level jobs or even start their own agencies. In Uganda, where the internet is becoming increasingly accessible and digital entrepreneurship is on the rise, WordPress offers a user-friendly platform for building websites and blogs without the need for extensive coding knowledge.

WordPress is an ideal tool for students who may not have advanced technical backgrounds but are eager to create an online presence. Our sessions will open doors to freelance opportunities, local businesses, and even international markets. It also fosters creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills as students learn to design and manage websites that can address local and global needs.
