Digital Mwalimu Project

Digital Mwaliu Project

This project is designed to empower educators with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices.

In today’s digital age, educators face the challenge of adapting to rapidly evolving technological tools while maintaining the integrity of pedagogical principles.

Through our workshops, we provide continuous training to support teachers in navigating this intersection of pedagogy and technology.

Why this Project

“Utilisation of digital technologies/ICTs in the delivery of education services is still very low, leaving the majority of the students to lag behind in a changing world. Teachers are still relying more on the traditional “chalk and talk” teaching method rather than embracing the use of digital technologies. This is attributed to several challenges such as; inadequate digital literacy skills among teachers/trainers, fragile ICT infrastructures such as expensive and inaccessible internet and unreliable electricity and high computer student ratios in schools/learning institutions.”
