“We are going to end it in due time“. Those were the words of our “Scientists” in March, 2020 as everything came to a standstill due to the Corona virus that has terrorized man globally. It is biologically known as SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) mainly affecting the lungs in early stages and later affecting the brain. At such a stage, only luck could save you since our doctors can no longer come close to you because they’re also afraid of the deadly virus.
Originally from Wuhan China and now in Uganda, the deadly Corona Virus has put Uganda’s economy to a pause besides creating many orphans and young mothers in just a single year. This has been attributed to the massive loss of jobs, closure of schools and other recreation facilities so as to minimize the spread of the virus leaving many Ugandans at home and in society with nothing better to do other than add to the country’s population.
Uganda under “lock down “started as hear say but now it’s the order of the day and Ugandans are learning to live with the new normal. Sanitizing hands here and there, masking up and social distancing is now our lifestyle thanks to our thoughtful scientists. Although a lesser proportion of the population is working, the Ugandan government is striving to ensure that few Ugandans starve per day though we are hearing more talk than action.
Recently a vaccine has been discovered and a selected category of Ugandans are receiving the 70% effective drug in prescribed doses. Rumors are spreading like wild fire about the negative effects of the vaccine although none has been confirmed. Well who knows only time can tell.
